Every Kathdu website starts with evidence: what people search for, who you’re up against and whether your name is safe to build on. The same research is available on its own, for any website.
01How we work
Good decisions need good information. Ours comes from primary sources, is checked twice and arrives in plain English.
Each finding comes with what supports it: a search figure, a register entry, a test result or a screenshot, with the date it was taken. If we can’t show it, we don’t claim it.
Search volumes, competitor prices and register results are cross-checked wherever a second source exists, and we tell you where one doesn’t.
We study how the best businesses in other trades win and keep customers, then borrow what fits. A plumber can learn a great deal from a good hotel.
A short summary, a ranked list of what to do and why, and the detail behind it for whoever does the work. No forty-page exports of warnings.
Every report and every page of copy is grammar-checked in British English, then read through line by line before it reaches you.
Accounts are set up in your name, findings are written so anyone can act on them, and you’re never tied to us to make use of the work.
02Tried on ourselves first
Before Kathdu had a name, we searched it against the UK, EU and international trade mark registers, Companies House and domain records. Before we wrote a word for Hot Tub Repair Man or Claire De Fleurs, we studied their search data, their competitors and the questions their customers ask.
What people actually type, how often, and which pages compete for it, taken from Search Console, keyword tools and the results pages themselves.
UK IPO and TMview for trade marks, Companies House for company names, and domain and archive records for a name’s history.
Lighthouse lab tests, real-visitor Core Web Vitals where Google publishes them, and structured data validated against Google’s own tests.
Findings, sources and next steps in one clear report, proofread before it’s sent.

Questions
No. Every service here works on any website, whoever built it and whatever it runs on. Many clients start with an audit and decide what to do next once they have the findings.
No, and be wary of anyone who does. Rankings depend on competition and on decisions Google makes. We promise a thorough, honest piece of work and a clear plan, and we report what changes.
No. We ask you to add us as a user to Google Analytics, Search Console or your Business Profile, with the lowest level of access the job needs. You stay the owner and can remove us at any time.
No. It’s careful research into what the registers and the web show, written up so you can make an informed decision. For a legal opinion or a filing, we’ll point you to a solicitor or a chartered trade mark attorney.
